ATV & UTV Insurance in Southern Utah

ATVs, UTVs, and side-by-sides are not covered under your auto, motorcycle, or homeowners policy in any meaningful way. Auto and motorcycle policies exclude them by definition. Homeowners typically extends only token liability on owned premises — the moment your RZR rolls onto Sand Mountain, Sand Hollow OHV, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, or the Paiute Trail, you are uninsured for both injury and liability. A dedicated ATV/UTV policy is the only way to get real coverage on the trail.

Liability is where most Southern Utah riders are dangerously underinsured. Crowded dune areas, blind hill crests, and multi-machine group rides produce serious claims every season — collisions with other riders, bystander injuries at staging areas, and property damage to other people's machines. We default to $100K/$300K liability or higher on every ATV and UTV we write, not the bare-minimum base policies sold online.

Aftermarket gear is the single most common gap we see. A loaded Polaris RZR XP 1000 with a roof, doors, full cage, light bar, winch, stereo, custom wheels, and a wrap can easily stack $8K–$15K of accessories on top of the machine. Standard custom-parts coverage caps at $1K–$3K — a hailstorm or theft at the Sand Hollow staging area can leave you tens of thousands of dollars short. We schedule modifications explicitly so the agreed value matches what you actually own.
