Homeowners policies generally exclude motorized recreational vehicles once they leave your property, and auto policies cover the trailer in transit — not the machine on it or the RZR on the trail. A dedicated off-road policy is the only thing that covers hull damage, trail liability, and your accessories.

Only if they're scheduled. Base off-road policies cap aftermarket equipment at a small default limit — often $1,000–$3,000 — which does not touch a full cage, doors, a 40-inch light bar, a Rockford audio build, beadlocks, and a windshield. We schedule accessories at their real replacement cost so a rollover on Sand Mountain doesn't leave a five-figure gap.

Yes — a rollover is a collision loss and is covered when you carry collision on the machine. This is the single most common Southern Utah side-by-side claim we see: a dune roll at Sand Mountain, a rock strike in the Sand Hollow ledges, or a rollover on the Paiute Trail. Liability-only will not pay for your own machine, which is why we quote both tiers side by side.
