OnPoint Insurance Group is a local independent Medicare agency in St. George — we don't work for or represent any one insurance company. We're contracted with a limited number of Medicare Advantage, Medigap, and Part D plans in Washington and Iron County — so we don't offer every plan in the area. We go through the ones we do offer, check your exact doctors and prescriptions against each plan's network and formulary, and re-review your coverage during the Annual Enrollment Period (Oct 15 – Dec 7) at no charge to you. Carrier commissions are generally flat across the plans we offer.

What you actually need to know about medicare coverage
The Medicare decision splits into two camps: Original Medicare + a Medigap Supplement + a Part D drug plan, or a single Medicare Advantage plan that bundles everything. Neither is universally better. Original + Medigap gives you nationwide doctor freedom and very predictable out-of-pocket costs. Medicare Advantage usually has lower premiums, includes extras like dental and vision, but ties you to a network. The right answer depends on your doctors, prescriptions, travel patterns, and budget — and it can change as you age.
Southern Utah has one of the fastest-growing Medicare populations in the country, and the plan landscape here is competitive. Several national and regional carriers market plans in Washington and Iron County. We're contracted with a limited number of them, so what we can show you is narrower than the full market — Medicare.gov and 1-800-MEDICARE list every option. That competition means real choice, but it also means the lowest-cost plan one year may not be the lowest-cost plan the next.
During the Annual Enrollment Period (October 15 – December 7), we re-run your prescriptions and providers against the plans we're contracted to offer. Many of our clients change plans in a given year — usually because another option fits their drug list or providers better. There's no charge to you for that review.
